About moirae fibres

Moirae Fibres is co-owned and operated by sisters, Beth Sheach and Meredith Hook. Our mother taught us how to knit when we were young, but it wasn't until we were adults that it developed into a favourite pastime.

We  also gained our knowledge of  alpacas and their fibre from our mother who owned and operated Round House Alpaca Farm. Mom retired from farming in 2018 but still had tons of beautiful alpaca fibre and yarn, so she kept the business going as Round House Alpacas. In the summer of 2019 she asked if we wanted to take over the business. We thought this was a great idea but wanted to build and expand on the fibre side of things changing it from "alpaca fibre" to "natural fibres" and thus began Moirae Fibres.

Now, in addition to Round House Alpacas' fibre and yarn, we sell yarns and rovings from other sources as long as it has a minimum of 80% natural content. Most of our yarns are a blend of either alpaca and/or merino and contain other ingredients such as bamboo, flax, silk and soy. We also knit and sell hats and other accessories from these yarns. Our products are all one of a kind as we rarely use the same pattern twice. If we repeat the pattern, they are sure to be in different colours, yarns or sizes.
We believe everyone has the right to enjoy beautiful quality yarns, unique one-of-a-kind hand knit products and of course natural fibres. At Moirae Fibres, we’re committed to delivering the best natural fibre experience, service and selection for our customers. Start shopping our site today.
